Theatreworks' production of Charlotte's Web is based on E.B. White's loving story of the friendship between a pig named Wilbur and a little gray spider named Charlotte. Wilbur has a problem: how to avoid winding up as pork chops! Charlotte, a fine writer and true friend, hits on a plan to fool Farmer Zuckerman -- she will create a "miracle." Spinning the words "Some Pig" in her web, Charlotte weaves a solution which not only makes Wilbur a prize pig, but ensures his place on the farm forever. This treasured tale, featuring mad-cap and endearing farm animals, explores bravery, selfless love, and the true meaning of friendship. (approximately one-hour)

My Neighbor, The Poet:
Robert Frost in Derry

The play centers on American poet Robert Frost, and the years he lived in Derry, New Hampshire and taught at Pinkerton Academy.

A four-time Pulitzer Prize-winner, Robert Frost spent eleven years living in Derry, NH, from 1900-1911.   Nine of those years were spent living on a farm that is now a National Historic Landmark visited by thousands of people annually.  While Frost was not known as a skilled farmer, it has often been said that it was his time in Derry that allowed him to develop his signature poetic voice.  Frost himself once wrote, “I might say the core of all my writing was probably the five free years I had there on the farm.”  Frost wrote both of his first two volumes of poetry and a portion of his third while living there.

There's trouble in the treehouse... Brother Bear has trouble with a school quiz, so he hides it in the cookie jar. Sister Bear makes friends with a frog and hides it in the cookie jar. Papa has been eating candy when he's supposed to be on a diet, and the wrapper ends up in the cookie jar... It's up to Mama to follow the cookie trail and sort things out!

Click, Clack, Moo

When his granddaughter Jenny comes for a visit, Farmer Brown declared the farm a "tech-free zone." He confiscates her laptop in the cold barn along with the shivering cows who use her computer to type messages requesting blankets. "No way," replies Farmer Brown. "No blankets!"

Tales of a 4th Grade Nothing

Fudge seems to get away with everything, whether he's throwing a tantrum at the shoe store, acting like a bird on the jungle gym and knocking out his two front teeth, or scribbling all over Peter's homework! It's enough to make him feel like a fourth grade nothing!

When Peter's beloved pet turtle disappears, he just knows that Fudge is behind it. This is the last straw -- how can he get his parents to pay attention to him for a change?
