COVID-19 Announcement

 

 

As of March 13th, 2020 (updated 3/30/20)

All events at the Stockbridge Theatre have currently been suspended. 

 

Governor Chris Sununu issued a stay at home order on Thursday, March 26, for New Hampshire residents, in effect until May 4th. This is part of the state’s broader efforts to slow the spread of the coronavirus in New Hampshire. 

 

Pinkerton Academy made the move to remote learning on March 13, 2020, and the Stockbridge Theatre suspended all events. This was done to support community efforts to flatten the curve and slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus. It has become increasingly obvious that these efforts need to be more long-term to make a meaningful impact.

 

The Pinkerton Players’ Spring Musical, Children of Eden, will be rescheduled once it is safe to reopen. We will also be rescheduling other on-campus events and rentals as soon as we are able. All performances in our Presenting Season will be rescheduled for next year. We will announce all changes once they have been made and ask that all refunds and exchanges be processed once new dates have been determined, as we hope you will still be able to join us for these rescheduled performances.

 

We understand the disappointment and inconvenience this causes many people, but we have decided to take these measures to keep our community safe in an effort to do our part in minimizing exposure, and we hope shared community efforts will help to quell the spread of the virus. Once again we remind all members of our community to follow the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).

 

We will continue to update our patrons throughout the duration of the pandemic. We cannot overstate how grateful we are for the support of our entire community. This is a situation that none of us have faced before, and it is the cooperation of everyone that will help us navigate it. We look forward to returning to regular operations as soon as we are able to do so safely.

An Evening with Jason Robert Brown

Jason Robert Brown is the three-time Tony Award-winning composer and lyricist of Songs for a New World (1995), Parade (1998), The Last Five Years (2002), 13 (2008), The Bridges of Madison County (2013) and Honeymoon In Vegas (2014). His shows are regularly performed on stages across the world, and his songs are regularly heard on television, film and recordings. Jason has recorded several albums, featuring his band The Caucasian Rhythm Kings, and is much in demand as a pianist, singer and conductor.

For this unique performance, Tony Award-winning composer and lyricist Jason Robert Brown will incorporate an eclectic mix of material, featuring music from throughout his acclaimed career, along with works from his new album “How We React and How We Recover.”
