The African Children’s Choir Wednesday, April 8th at 7:00 PM Uplifting. Joyous. Entertaining. The African Children’s Choir embodies a powerful light of hope in the face of war and famine in Africa. The Choir has performed in some of the world’s most storied settings, including the Pentagon, the United Nations and Westminster Abbey. The 24-member ensemble of singers and dancers, ranging in ages 7 to 10 years old, melts the hearts of audiences across the world with their charming smiles and delightful African tunes, accompanied by traditional instrumentation. Their celebratory concerts feature well-loved children’s songs, hand clapping, traditional spirituals and contemporary tunes that touch the soul of all ages The primary goal of the Choir is to raise awareness of the need of destitute and orphaned children in Africa and to raise funds for continued development and support of the African Children’s Choir Programs. The Choir’s international educational endeavor provides unique training for the children. Once Choir members have completed a concert tour, they will return to their homelands with the tools necessary for bettering their future. Tickets range from $10-$30 |
