COVID-19 Announcement

As of March 13th, 2020 (updated 3/30/20)

All events at the Stockbridge Theatre have currently been suspended.

Governor Chris Sununu issued a stay at home order on Thursday, March 26, for New Hampshire residents, in effect until May 4th. This is part of the state’s broader efforts to slow the spread of the coronavirus in New Hampshire.

Pinkerton Academy made the move to remote learning on March 13, 2020, and the Stockbridge Theatre suspended all events. This was done to support community efforts to flatten the curve and slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus. It has become increasingly obvious that these efforts need to be more long-term to make a meaningful impact.

The Pinkerton Players’ Spring Musical, Children of Eden, will be rescheduled once it is safe to reopen. We will also be rescheduling other on-campus events and rentals as soon as we are able. All performances in our Presenting Season will be rescheduled for next year. We will announce all changes once they have been made and ask that all refunds and exchanges be processed once new dates have been determined, as we hope you will still be able to join us for these rescheduled performances.

We understand the disappointment and inconvenience this causes many people, but we have decided to take these measures to keep our community safe in an effort to do our part in minimizing exposure, and we hope shared community efforts will help to quell the spread of the virus. Once again we remind all members of our community to follow the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).

We will continue to update our patrons throughout the duration of the pandemic. We cannot overstate how grateful we are for the support of our entire community. This is a situation that none of us have faced before, and it is the cooperation of everyone that will help us navigate it. We look forward to returning to regular operations as soon as we are able to do so safely.

Thank you.

The New England Center for Circus Arts in JANUS

Tuesday, May 12th, 2020 at 7pm

The New England Center for Circus Arts (NECCA) presents the JANUS a culminating performance of aspiring circus professionals at the forefront of American Circus.

NECCA is an internationally recognized circus school known for outstanding physical and creative programming. For aspiring performers, NECCA’s 3 year ProTrack provides elite acrobatic and aerial training alongside movement and physical theater, instigating a deeper capacity for creativity within circus arts. In their final year, a small group of these accomplished students devise a show for touring, embracing innovation and daring at the intersection of circus, theater, and dance.

NECCA presents the ProTrack graduation performance, JANUS, envisioned by guest director Joel Baker (Cirque du Soleil, 7 Fingers). It evokes the spirit of beginnings and transitions that ushers these transformed graduates onto a new stage in their circus careers as they move from who they were to who they are becoming. Revel in the nuances of acrobatic theater—that is at once otherworldly and accessibly human—as you forget what is possible and immerse yourself in the joy of the human spirit in motion.

Tickets range from $10-$25
